A medical resident in Seattle, Washington, Olivia "Liv" Moore has her world turned upside down after attending a party, at which she was turned into a zombie. A once straight-laced and driven young woman with a blooming romance and promising medical career as a cardiac surgeon now starts work at the King County morgue, in order to satisfy her urge for brains. But, with every murder victim's brain she eats, she takes personality traits from that person and receives flashbacks that often give her clues to how they were murdered. She uses this new skill to help the Seattle Police Department at solving crimes, who think she is a "psychic" consultant. With the help of her boss Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, who is more fascinated by her condition than scared of it, and Detective Clive Babineaux, who believes that Liv is a psychic, she must help the people of Seattle, understand her condition, find out how she was turned into a zombie, and fight a formidable menace on the rise.

My thoughts: iZombie is not your typical zombie series, unlike AMC's the Walking Dead, it does not present zombies as lobotomized, witless and brain dead beings but as clever and sometimes mischievous. The series has a very well constructed story line and characters and is adapted from a comic book of the same name. Indeed, it's a nice twist on the "traditional zombie persona" as we become more and more fond of Liv going as to forget sometimes her bizarre and queer eating habits.

Master's sun

oo Joong-won is the stingy and greedy CEO of Kingdom, a conglomerate that includes a major department store and hotel. He meets the gloomy Tae Gong-shil, who started seeing ghosts after an accident. Their lives take a new turn as they work together to deal with the terror and sadness brought about by the spirits, while delving into a kidnapping incident in Joong-won's past.

My thoughts: Master's sun is different from the current korean dramas as it is a romance set amidst strange ghost stories.Tae Gong-shil is not the typical drama heroine, she does not care about her looks as she's feeling trapped inside her ghost visions. As the story unfold, Tae Gong Shil succeeds into making the ghosts
seem lovable, endearing and extremely funny. For anyone who is looking for an original and bizzare love story, Master's sun is exactly what you need.

The series follows the life of Eliza Dooley, a woman obsessed with the idea of achieving fame through the use of social media platforms, including Instagram where she regularly posts selfies. She begins to worry that "friending" people online is not a substitute for real friendship, and she seeks help from Henry Higgs, a marketing image guru.

My thoughts: Selfie is a fresh and new series which deals with modern concepts of life (social networks etc..) portraying it in an honest, funny and sometimes cynical picture. The main protagonists Eliza and Henry played by Karen Gillan (whom we all know from Doctor Who) and John Cho ( from Harold & kumar movies series) succeeded in translating all the modern trials and tribulations of our daily lives. Both actors presented a surprising acting performance and great potential, it is really regrettable that such a great series, both critical and funny, was cancelled after just one season.
